To be black in AmerKKKa is emotionally taxing, to say the least. On top of being disproportionately affected by COVID-19, black people are still being systematically oppressed, most notable by the police force.

If you care, you know what’s going on…and I mean what’s really going on, so I’ll spare you the summary. But recent events have prompted the masses to demand change - by any means necessary.

Citizens across the country have banned together in protest of our leadership, or lack thereof.

The government’s response to this global pandemic has been a joke, and serves as a brutal reminder that something has to change. Whether that be the people we choose as leaders, or the businesses we support as a community.

Moreover, to continue to implement, and stand behind an agenda that promotes the use of excessive policing [that results in the disproportionate murder of black people] in the midst of it all is a huge slap in the face, and a blatant disregard of “democracy”. This in turn makes it near impossible to stand by and do nothing, time after time.

We are tired.

This Wednesday we will be on the frontline providing water, snacks, sage, palo santo, signs, and more for protestors! Our exact location is TBD, but follow us on social media for updates!

We’re still in the middle of a global pandemic that is showing no signs of slowing down. So we’re not exactly urging anyone to go protest, or be in any large crowd for that matter, but we will be getting active this week and encourage you to take part in any way, shape, or form.

To help keep our spirits high, as well as those around us, we’ve created The Revolution Playlist. An upbeat, feel-good mix of music, inspired by the inevitable uprising lingering in the air.

This playlist isn’t just revolutionary, it’s good. You can blast it as you march through the streets with your tribe, or listen to it in your headphones at work.

If you chose to physically be present for The Revolution, please be mindful of the many different narratives the government and the media are trying to use to end it before it starts. Be mindful of Martial Law and other proclamations that can be “legally” enforced by the government to silence you, jail you, or even kill you - and don’t take the bait.

Yes, fight for your rights by any means necessary. But understand this is a game. And we cannot afford to lose.

Where will you be for The Revolution?
