Why You Should Consider a Plant-Based Thanksgiving

A plant-based Thanksgiving isn’t just for snobby vegans and animal rights activists. Other reasons one may decide to partake in a plant-based Thanksgiving include dietary restrictions; nostalgia (there wasn’t any butter, flour, or ovens back then - and some experts say that turkey’s weren’t associated with the “holiday” until much later); and environmental reasons, such as climate change.

That's right, what / how you eat has a direct impact on the environment!

At the beginning of the month, news broke that Trump was pulling out of the Paris Climate Agreement, an agreement between the U.S. and 196 other countries with the goal of limiting the increase of global average temperature to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Besides the fact that more than half of the countries that signed this agreement aren’t meeting expectations, it says a lot for the U.S. to completely back out.

So, if you don’t want to be apart of the madness, consider saving the planet by having a plant-based Thanksgiving...we know you’ve always wanted to try it. If you need a little inspiration, check out some of our favorite recipes below!
