314 Day

Yesterday, while everyone else in the world was celebrating Pi Day, tried-and-true Saint Louisans celebrated 314 Day. 314 is the area code for St. Louis, MO - and I don’t remember exactly when, but for as long as I can remember - March 14th has been our day where we celebrate everything about the city.

And if you’ve ever met anyone from St. Louis, you know we love our city. I’m pretty sure 314 Day actually began as a joke, but each year the celebration grows larger and larger.

However this year, with trying to contain COVID-19 ‘n all, a lot of 314 Day events were canceled. Including one I was particularly bummed about, STL Exchange. But that didn’t stop the celebration. Memories were shared, exciting projects were announced, and most events were rescheduled for a future date.

Keep scrolling for a list of some of my favorite things from 314 Day 2020!
