Voice Tweets
Yesterday Twitter unveiled voice tweets. An update that allows users to record and tweet with audio.
And of course, we owe this genius idea to a black woman; Maya Gold Patterson.
yooo I just launched my first product at Twitter, and wow what a fun journey it's been.

this is our first experiment of many to learn more about how people on Twitter might use audio to share their voice... https://t.co/Zfw4YcRGwP
We first introduced Patterson as the owner of The Gold List. But she’s a “woman in tech” by trade - and she obviously knows what she’s doing.
The voice tweets took off immediately! And for better or worse, I see them having a lasting effect on the way we use the app. We’ve already seen music artist share snippets of new tracks, comedians telling jokes, and everything in between.
“Sometimes 280 characters aren’t enough and some conversational nuances are lost in translation. So starting today, we’re testing a new feature that will add a more human touch to the way we use Twitter — your very own voice,” Twitter’s Maya Patterson and Rémy Bourgoin wrote on the company’s blog.
